Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor customers on premise installed systems and network infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide support on customer’s IT infrastructure
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Involve in deployment of new hardware and/or software

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Server/Linux based environments.
  • Experience in Microsoft Products (Win 7, Win 10, Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019)
  • Experience in security processes (Patching, Windows update procedures for Servers and endpoints)
  • Experience with monitoring systems, e.g. PRTG or similar
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP), such as routing and switching knowledge, able to troubleshoot network issues, knowledge on wireless technologies, access points, guest/staff wLAN
  • Proficient with applications such as MS Active Directory and able to configure and manage group policy objects
  • Familiar with the following brands, HP, Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, McAfee, Dell, Palo Alto
  • Experience with helpdesk systems such as Zendesk
  • Good to have: CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE
