Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for the COBOL code migration.
- Analyze existing COBOL applications and identify functionality and data dependencies.
Solution Design:
- Work closely with solution architect, framework team and developers to design migration solutions that align with business needs.
- Develop documentation outlining the proposed migration strategy.
- Design the detailed technical solution based on underlying framework and infra architecture
Test Suites Documentation and Test Data Mining
- Document each test case with clear objectives, expected outcomes, and test steps.
- Regularly review and revise test cases to reflect changes in the project scope or discovered during testing phases per users and ITPM’s review.
- Determine the types of data needed to thoroughly test application functionalities, including boundary value, error value, and standard use case data
Risk Assessment:
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the migration process.
- Develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
SIT and UAT:
- Conduct thorough SIT.
- Capable of troubleshooting code-level problems effectively.
- Support users and ITPM on UAT execution
Documentation and Reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience working with Cobol
- Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year Agency Contract employment
