Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design and develop robust data integration solutions using Talend Studio to meet business requirements.
- Talend Data Catalog Implementation: Implement and configure Talend Data Catalog to ensure effective metadata management and data governance across the organization.
- Data Integration: Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into target systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Metadata Management: Manage metadata repositories, ensuring that metadata is captured, stored, and utilized effectively to enhance data lineage, data quality, and data governance processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to understand data requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Talend jobs for performance and scalability to ensure efficient processing of large volumes of data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, data mappings, and workflow diagrams.
- Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing and participate in system integration testing to ensure that developed solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues related to Talend jobs, data integration processes, and data catalog functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data integration, data management, and data governance. Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing data integration solutions using Talend Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Talend Data Catalog or similar metadata management tools.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Shortlisted candidate will be offered a 1 year agency contract employment.
