Responsibilities

• Administer user accounts, including creating, deleting, and updating account information.
• Assign user access rights and reset passwords as required.

• Manage server software, including installation, backup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and optimize system performance to enhance resource usage and prevent hardware failures or processing bottlenecks.

• Perform regular security hardening exercises, including applying software updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Ensure security settings align with the company’s security policies.
• Analyse system and event logs to identify and resolve potential system issues.

• Assist in the development and implementation of new installations, migrations, and system improvements.
• Support solution architects in evaluating products, prioritizing solutions, and analysing alternative options.

• Investigate emerging server technologies (Infrastructure Solutions).
• Compare different solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) tests for new server technologies.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new products and services

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience of managing server farms.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux scripting.
• Strong knowledge of server infrastructure administration covering Windows and Linux.
• Strong Expertise in the following areas but not limited to them:
  • Managing Microsoft Certificate Authority (CA)
  • Managing Veeam Backup and Recovery
  • Managing SFTP
  • Managing CIS driven hardening on Windows and Linux Servers
• Experience in AWS and GCP cloud environment will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Dockers and Containers will be an added advantage.
