Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring, Hibernate, etc.
Implement new features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business requirements.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
Provide L2/L3 support for production issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution.
Monitor application performance, logs, and alerts to ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps/infra teams to manage deployments and releases.
Maintain support documentation including SOPs, incident reports, and knowledge base articles.
Work with business and QA teams to validate fixes and support end-users as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 3+ years of experience in Java development and application support.
Strong knowledge of IBM Websphere, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs.
Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Experience with production monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK).
Proficiency in debugging and performance tuning of Java applications.
Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and basic Linux commands.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience with incident and change management processes (ITIL framework).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of scripting languages like Shell, Python for support automation.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail.
